new version of mijia air purifier green filter?

Main Post:

I read somewhere xiaomi has come up with an upgraded version of the green with all the features of the purple, making it the best filter to get for all sorts of air pollution.

is this true? I'm unable to find more reliable sources hence here asking this question.

my primary concern is I'm allergic to dust mites, and people loves to smoke right outside my room. I'm not really afraid of virus/bacteria in the air but it'll be great to have something that does that as well.

Top Comment: that's interesting. Where did you read this from? Maybe you're talking about the HEPA Black and HEPA Lite? I recently found it listed on the Xiaomi India website. As for myself, I'm currently using the Green filter : ) Maybe this article can help: https://jumpadevice.com/2020/04/19/mi-air-filter-green-or-purple/

Citadel Air Moot Green issues

Main Post:

Hi,

I normally use Vallejo air paints in my airbrush but couldn't find this colour of green so decided to try a Citadel Air paint. The problem is no matter what pressure I use there are little white specks in the paint that I can visibly see flying out of my nozzle and onto my model, is this just bad paint or what gives?.

I haven't had this problem with any Vallejo paint before.

K&N vs Green Air Filter?

Main Post:

Hi folks,

I have 2013 1.0L Titanium Ecoboost and Im looking to fit a replacement air filter (no forced induction). Which do you recommend out of the K&N and the Green? And why?

Cheers

Top Comment:

From what I've read, the Green Filter supposedly increases fuel economy more so than the K&N - whether that is true I am not sure. The Green Filter has woven cotton vs the K&N cotton gauze - My reasoning for purchasing the Green Filter.

Downside to the Green - On paper it has shorter cleaning intervals.

Ultimately on commuter cars, it comes down to whether you like red or green.

Best Xiaomi Air Purifier 3H Filter? Grey, Blue, Purple or Green?

Main Post:

Hello,

I am thinking of purchasing a Xiaomi Air Purifier, the 3H model and was considering also looking at buying a dedicated filter for the purifier. I am aware that the purifier already comes with a filter included, but I was wondering what the differences are/what the best available filter would be? In particular, I want to know the differences between the grey, blue, green and purple Xiaomi filters and as to which one is the best in terms of air filtration. I'm mainly looking for performance, so I'm curious as to what filter is able to provide the cleanest air possible.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Top Comment:

Grey or purple is the best imo. Grey is on top afaik being HEPA filter and newest one from the original 3. Funny I know this but recently I just ordered the purple I forgot the grey already exist. Nonetheless if grey is not available then purple is best. Purple seem more popular, I guess everyone was accustomed to it before grey came. On a tight budget you got green or blue filter.

Iqunix ZX-1 Air - Midnight Green - Student/Productivity/Gaming build

Main Post: Iqunix ZX-1 Air - Midnight Green - Student/Productivity/Gaming build

PCPartPicker Part List

Case Opinions:

The Iqunix ZX-1 is a work of art. It's sleek, look industrial, and has that great sense of minimalism with the unibody design and mute but characteristic color choices (the green is especially great). It's not the easiest to work in, especially since this was my first ever PC, but the end product is worth it, in my opinion.

Build Experience:

  • This was my first ever build, so I definitely forgot to do some things and made some rookie mistakes.
  • Quick Note: If you're using a GPU thats PCIe 4.0, you MUST change the BIOS settings to use PCIe 3.0 only. I had a headache of an issue where the build would POST out of the case with my GPU attached to the mobo, but didn't work when using the PCIe riser as it's 3.0. Before building, make sure that everything POSTs then head to the BIOS and change the PCIe settings.
  • My main issue was finding a place to put the 2.5” hdd. It was tough, and the recommend spot didn’t work at all for me, which was under the PSU, due to the way my SATA cables were positioned. I settled on the other place to put a drive, which was behind the PSU with the SATA cables facing toward the mobo. Facing the HDD cables toward the I/O would run into more problems. The cables would come into conflict with the USB data cable on the I/O board.
  • Everything was finished after that and I honestly think it was worth the extra headache to have such a sleek and cool case. The metallic unibody is a work of art, the green coat looks amazing (it even matches my backpack), and temps are relatively cool for a SFFPC.

For a first time build, I'm extremely happy with how it turned out, even with the more challenging build progress. Now onto temps!

Temps:

Temps are actually pretty nice with a custom fan curve that favors silence. Basically, my max temps never crossed 70 for either the CPU or GPU when gaming.

  • Idle: 45 CPU, 32 GPU
  • Rainbow 6 Siege 1440p Ultra: 65 CPU and 65 GPU
  • Doom Eternal, Ultra Nightmare, 1440p: 69 CPU, 67 GPU
  • LoL: 55 CPU, 50 GPU
  • Death Stranding: 65 CPU, 67 GPU

I'm likely gonna undervolt my CPU and GPU to help with power efficiency and noise levels. Noise is good, but it can be better with a more tweaked fan curve and undervolting.

Building Tips:

  • Install the memory LAST. Depending on the layout of your mobo, it'll provide some more space to plug stuff in, like my power button wires and SATA cables.
  • Use the black hex screws when installing the mobo. The case manual is pretty confusing b/c it recommends using the silver hex screws, which isn't provided (only silver phillips screws). Using the silver phillips screws doesn't secure the mobo and has a little wiggle room.
